What are the recommended Notification settings for Instructors?

The table below presents the meaning of each notification option provided by WorldClassRoom. Recommended setup for instructors is also provided. However, please take the recommendation as a rule of thumb - you can adjust the notification settings, at any time, in a way that best fit your needs. These settings apply to all courses and organizations to which you belong.

Due Date**	You will be notified when the due date of an assignment is changed.	never
Grading Policies**	You will be notified when a grading policy is changed, such as making an assignment worth more points.	never
Course Content**	You will be notified when any course page is changed, such as a new reading is added.	never
Files**	You will be notified when a new file is posted to a course or when a file is modified.	never
Announcement**	You will be notified when an announcement is posted.	never
Announcement Created by You	You will be notified if a student replies to an announcement you have created.	ASAP
Grading**	You will be notified when a grade for an assignment is added or modified.	never
Invitation	You will be notified when you are invited to join a course.	ASAP
All Submissions	You will be notified when students submit an assignment in a course you teach.	daily or never
Late Grading	You will be notified when students in a course you teach submit a late assignment.	daily or never
Submission Comment	You will be notified when students add comments to their submission.	daily or ASAP

Discussions
Discussion**	You would be notified when new discussion topics are created. Courses default to not letting students create discussion topics.	never
Discussion Post	New Discussion Post in a topic to which you are subscribed.	daily or ASAP

Communications
Added to Conversation	You will be notified when you are added to a conversation.	ASAP
Conversation Message	You will be notified when you receive a new message.	ASAP
Conversations Created by Me	You created a conversation. This notification would act as a verification that you sent the Conversation message.	ASAP or never
Scheduling
Student Appointment Signups	You will be notified when a student signs up for an appointment in a course you teach. Decide first if you will be using the Appointment scheduler (set to ASAP) then decide on your notification preference (never if not using.	ASAP or never
Appointment Signups**	You will be notified when there is a new appointment to sign up for. Instructors will not likely need this unless they are a student in a course.	never
Appointment Cancelations	You will be notified when one of your appointments is cancelled, if you use the Appointment Scheduler.	ASAP
Appointment Availability	You will be notified when an appointment time slot is changed, if you use the Appointment Schedule.	never or ASAP
Calendar**	You will be notified when a calendar event is changed. Only instructors can change their course calendars.	never

Groups
Membership Update	You will be notified when you are invited to join a group.	daily
Alerts
Administrative Notifications	You will be notified when you receive an administrative alert.	ASAP
Legend
	You will receive notifications right away.
	You will receive a daily summary of notifications.
	You will receive a weekly summary of notifications, which will be sent out each week between 11 PM CST on Friday and 11 PM CST on Saturday.
	You will never receive notifications.
